Security: Strong as your Weakest Link

September 8, 2003 12:06 AM

So it's hit the news that some guys wandered into Australian Customs dressed as EDS repairmen, and wheeled out a couple of mainframes. We're leaping over ourselves to blame terrorists, but in my (admittedly lacking-of-facts) opinion, it's far more likely to be drug-dealers.

Anyway, it's a timely reminder that network security is only as strong as its weakest link: and often that weakest link is a human one.
