Whenever I visit the Atlassian site, and see their slogan: “Legendary Service”, my brain automatically interprets ‘legendary’ as: “Lots of people believe it exists, but there's no evidence.”
(N.B. In my admittedly limited dealings with Atlassian I've found the service is, in fact, pretty good.)
To me, something that's legendary is so good it takes on almost mythical qualities. That's what we're aiming for.
Jordan? Legendary basketball player.
Woods? Legendary golfer.
Google? Legendary search engine.
